He doesn’t want us to happily show God that we love Him and want to honor Him with our actions. The devil is a master at distracting us from God’s will for us. 1 Corinthians 6: 20 says, For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s. I sit down to write a chapter for my next novel, but only about 200 words into the chapter, the phone rings. Joanie …ĭo you ever get sidetracked and detour from what you’re doing at the moment? So many of my tasks never get accomplished because I let something distract me from what I’m supposed to be doing. How big of a problem are distractions for you? Are interruptions a normal part of your day, and if so, how do you deal with staying on task? Or at least completely a task? Today author Joanie Bruce offers some thoughts getting sidetracked.
